You can go green with business consulting
Green Business Consulting
With companies sprouting up all over the place, one of the key factors to having a successful business is keeping up with the newest trends. One of the most popular trends today is going green. This could be anything from using organic material to recycled products. There are actually business consulting firms that specialize in going green.
Business consulting firms are often contacted when a company cannot reach its full potential. A consultant will come in a look at all aspects of the company. They will then examine each one individually and start to make corrections. One of the main things a company can do is stay ahead of the game by becoming aware of how businesses around them operate.
Today, many companies focus their attention on becoming environmentally friendly. Consumers want products that have little or no harmful effect on the planet. In order to keep up with this trend, companies have to make adjustments so that they can keep up with this growing demand. If a company is not familiar with the environmentally friendly aspect, a “green” business consultant can be brought in to show how it is done.
A green consultant can come in and point out which areas have the most environmental impact. The consultant could provide other alternatives to things such as the paint that is used in a facility or the material used to make clothing. With paint, a company could take one step closer to being green just by changing to a product that uses fewer harmful chemicals. As for clothing, instead of regular cotton being used, the company could distribute organic cotton.
Many consumers are interested in products that will allow us to preserve the Earth for as long as we can. They want products that will have no harmful effects on their children. Because this trend is becoming more popular by the day, a business that goes green will gain a lot of attention. Consumers will be more willing to spend their money in a business that supports a cause rather than going to a business that only cares about themselves.

The simple truth is optimization makes you money – lots of it!
It seems to be that the more optimization I do the more I see it’s benefits. When I first started my campaign for rcbryan.com I wasn’t really sure about what I would see in regards to results. I had been told that getting your site up in the rankings is good for business which is a very general statement. The reality is I had no idea how much business it would bring in.
When your site ranks high for your given service on Google you are instantly given credibility that you could not have built any other way. Now when I talk to a prospective client I no longer give out my email address. I simply tell them to Google ‘Business Consultant’ and to look right below wikipedia.com. Instantly in their eyes I must know what I’m doing if Google thinks I deserve such a high ranking. Could that type of reputation help your business? You bet it could!
The reputation helps with customers who I meet face to face but SEO goes further. Since making my way to the first page I’ve picked up five new clients in less then 30 days each of which is buying a service that I do not market other then on my site. This means this is 100% new found business. If I was to have created a traditional marketing campaign with the hopes of generating this type of business the costs relative to conversions would have been astronomical.
The bottom line here is that if you are not optimizing your site you are missing out on countless business. Here are a few simple steps that can help you get your site to move up in the rankings.
- Remove Adwords: If you can make more with a single sale form your product or services menu then you make per month with your AdWords Campaign you need to remove this.
- Optimize Your Content: If you are selling a service then make sure you have a lot of information on your site about your service. Google wants to see related content if they are going to let you rank.
- Build Links: Once you have your site set-up correctly you need to build your site link value. Go out and find related sites and get them to link back to you.
- Hire a Professional: If all of this sounds a little daunting then don’t be sacred to pay someone else to do it. Often a professional can get more done in a month that you can do in a year. A little invested now will reap large rewards for you in the future.

Effective marketing by using business consulting
This article explains the different ways that marketing and business consulting can go hand in hand.
Business Consultants Help with Marketing
When starting or opening a new business, one of the best ways to obtain clients is through marketing. Of course, the new owner can pass out flyers or spread the news, but if the marketing isn’t being used to the full potential, there will be no growth. Many times a business consultant is contacted when the business in question is failing, but in most cases a consultant is contacted before the doors open.
Many business owners offer discounts when starting out. This may be a good thing to do in the beginning, but over time it could lead to huge losses. A marketing consultant comes armed with the knowledge of gaining business without losing profit. A business consultant that has expertise in marketing will know how to get your company ahead of the competition.
Some of the things a market consultant can do are things such as telemarketing and direct mailing. They can even take a closer look at the products or services that the company offers and see if there is a way to enhance them. Maybe it isn’t the product that needs to be enhanced, it may be that the price is too high. If the marketing consultant research on competitors shows that they offer the same product at a more reasonable price, they can work with the company to achieve a price that will fit everyone’s budget.
Getting a business recognized is the major role of a marketing consultant. Every business owner wants to be successful and without customers that would never happen. A consultant that specializes in marketing will know all the areas of the business to investigate that could provide profit. They know the tactics that will catch the eye of the consumer, such as offering special promotions or by creating packages that will fit the needs of the consumers.
Sometimes a new business owner may not be aware of all the marketing techniques available. Hiring a marketing consultant can be a key to the success of that business. There are many resourceful ways of marketing today, and a consultant can show you the way.
So I’ve developed a plan on how to add 10,000 real subscribers to my blog. It’s not as expensive as you would think. The problem I’m having is quantifying the value of those subscribers.
I recently was planning to attend an internet marketing conference in Austin, TX and in the ‘puffery’ of their sales offer was an exclusive opportunity to attend the event because I had participated recently in one of their courses. The second part of the offer was a warning that they were going to send out regular admission tickets to the general public via there subscription base of 200,000 people. This made me take a step back and ask – “How in the world did they get so many subscribers?” Then I had to ponder about how to grow my subscription base quicker.
I started looking around for programs or services that did this but all I found were people wanting to upload the same only list they had sold to 1000 people before me. All that would have done is get my domain blacklisted as a spammer. So then I looked to organic feeder systems that I could use to drive traffic to a page that enticed people to register. I tested it and the people came – but very few converted to subscribers.
So what am I doing now? Well, now I’ve created a hybrid system that I’m going to implement with the newest version of my blog that is coming out in a few weeks.
Here is my formula
Paid Focused Traffic + Special Offer + Pay Only for Subscription
The goal here is to bring people in from two different feeder systems that direct traffic based on specific niches and then give those visitors and exclusive offer for a free download of course they only get it when they subscribe. So I’m taking the general viewer and narrowing them down to niche specific viewers and then again narrowing them down based on their want for the free offer which is specific to my industry. I think by doing this I can get people with a real interest in future offerings.
Content for Project: $450
Coding for Project: $500
Lead Generation Cost: $1000
Here in lies the problem. The project sounds great. Anyone would want 10,000 subscribers for their site especially if they are niche specific. But is it worth $2000 and all the work it will take to get done?
Here in lies the question – Would you do this if it cost $2000?
I’d like to see what everyone has to say. Also, subscibe below because no matter what I have a special offer coming for my members!
So Google recently launched Google Instant which is supposed to be a new way for Googlers to use this search engine to find what they are looking for faster. If you haven’t heard about this and you are in the internet marking world then you need to read this ASAP!
Here is what Google has to say about this new service:
Google Instant is a new search enhancement that shows results as you type. We are pushing the limits of our technology and infrastructure to help you get better search results, faster. Our key technical insight was that people type slowly, but read quickly, typically taking 300 milliseconds between keystrokes, but only 30 milliseconds (a tenth of the time!) to glance at another part of the page. This means that you can scan a results page while you type.
The most obvious change is that you get to the right content much faster than before because you don’t have to finish typing your full search term, or even press “search.” Another shift is that seeing results as you type helps you formulate a better search term by providing instant feedback. You can now adapt your search on the fly until the results match exactly what you want. In time, we may wonder how search ever worked in any other way.
Faster Searches: By predicting your search and showing results before you finish typing, Google Instant can save 2-5 seconds per search.
Smarter Predictions: Even when you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, predictions help guide your search. The top prediction is shown in grey text directly in the search box, so you can stop typing as soon as you see what you need.
Instant Results: Start typing and results appear right before your eyes. Until now, you had to type a full search term, hit return, and hope for the right results. Now results appear instantly as you type, helping you see where you’re headed, every step of the way.
Source: Google Instant
Here is the problem. Lets compare two search terms:
business plan outline (short – highly competitive – non targeted)
business plan outline for restaurants (long tail – low competition – very specific)
How is this a problem? Well if you are a smart internet marketer you would have started your optimization strategy around long tail keywords as they rank faster and convert better. This all means less work but more money. Now with Google Instant your long tail keyword may never be found!
If you go to Google right now and type in the above search word by word stopping after each word you’ll notice that Google is now giving you results as you type. They are trying to drive you to a site as quickly as possible. This means that the specific niche site with the business plan specifically for a restaurant may never be reached if Google has their way.
I’m just beginning my testing to see how this will effect my current marketing strategies. I’d like to know if anyone else has the same concerns as me? Leave me a response so we can figure out how to stay ahead of the curve here!
Why do you need an agreement with a business consultant?
This article explains what a consultant agreement is and how a business consultant is involved.
What is a consulting agreement? This is an agreement between the business consultant, who provides services, and the client, the one who is receiving the services. Usually consulting agreements are used when the business consultant will be used for a short period of time. Below you can find a few of the things a consulting agreement might cover.
It will give a detailed description of the services a business consultant will provide. This is effective because it makes sure that both parties are in agreement with what is to be done. It will ensure that there is no miscommunication when it comes time to begin the project.
The consulting agreement will also list any reports that are expected at the end of the project. If there are any presentations or speeches to be delivered, this will also be listed. It is a great idea to know what the expectations are so nothing is left out.
A time frame will be established, and this also will be listed in the agreement. A time frame will let both the business consultant and client know when a project is to start and when it will be finished. This is a good thing because it does not leave anyone wondering how long something will take. Everyone likes the idea of have a time frame when they are waiting to see results.
Hiring a business consultant means having to pay a fee. This fee will be included in the contract. It is vital that both parties are in agreement with the pricing. Sometimes a price can be negotiated, but in the end it has to be a price that both parties feel is fair. This will also ensure that there cannot be a price change at the last moment. It also gives the business consultant the security of knowing that when their services are done, they are guaranteed payment.
Having a contract is good anytime there is a business transaction. This provides protection for all of the parties involved. This will give everyone a sense of peace. During a stressful time, this is much appreciated!
Tips for finding the best business consultant job
This article tells how a business consultant can find the right job to meet their skills.
If you are looking to start a career as a business consultant, there are a few things you can do to make your search easier. Before all of the modern technology, the easiest way was to pull out the trusty classifieds and spend all day circling potential jobs with a magic marker. Today, consultants are needed in a wide variety of areas. Here are a few ways to get started.
The first thing to do is take a look at the industry. When searching for a business consultant job, you want to look at what is the most popular industry. Two major industries that come to mind are marketing and information technology. Marketing can be found just about everywhere. All businesses need some type of marketing. They need to advertise their company, whether it is through the media or through local newspapers. Information technology, or what is better known as IT, can be found in numerous businesses. Majority of businesses today run off of computers and computer software. Businesses also need networking and networking security.
Speaking of information technology, one of the most useful ways of finding the right consulting job is to look on the World Wide Web. Since the internet was born, looking for a job can be as simple as turning on your computer and typing in a search bar. You can do this in the comfort of your own home.
For many college students, or soon to be college graduates, there are career fairs or job fairs. These usually happen on campus where employers come out and try to enlist new employees. They usually specify what type of job is required and what experience is necessary.
Another great way to become a business consultant is to work for a consulting firm. Consulting firms usually have a wide range of jobs. There are many different types of consulting jobs, and a firm could help you figure out which field you would be best it. If you have expertise in certain areas, or even in more than one area, becoming a business consultant may be right for you.
Using a business consultant to increase sales
Sales are important to a company, so this article tells how a business consultant comes in handy.
A business consultant that is hired to improve or assist with sales will look at many different things. Sales are what makes a company rise and the lack of sales will make a company fall. It is what brings in the money, it contributes to the salaries, and it is what keeps the motor running.
Consultants can provide sales training. Some people think they couldn’t sell toilet paper standing outside of a bathroom. This is not the case! With proper training, anyone can sell anything. With sales training, a consultant can teach others the effective way of selling a product. You have to show the customer that this is a product you stand behind, and that you would use yourself.
Increasing sales volume is another way a consultant tackles sales. They will look at things such as the customer base to see how they could possibly sell more of the product to existing customers. On the other hand, if the company tends to have sales to repeat customers, the consultant may look at how to bring in new customers. They may suggest offering a discount or giving out more coupons.
When a company has a sale, it usually runs for a week. This can limit the number of sales that the company can have during a certain time frame. A consultant may suggest that the duration of the sales be shorter so that the company can have more of them. This could bring in more revenue for the company.
Most importantly, a business consultant will come up with a sales plan. This is very crucial to a business. They could create a sales plan that is flexible, meaning that it can change as your company grows. Having a plan is always a great idea, no matter what it is being used for. The key is to make the plan and sticking to it. If a company is suffering because of sales, a consultant will come armed and ready to provide a cure. The best thing to do is let them come in, fix the problem and let the selling begin!
One of the things I get asked the most is for help with an entrepreneurs business plan. While this has drummed up a lot of business for my firm I’m wondering if I could give my blog readers the same tool that I use to do this? Over the years after working on nearly 1000 business plans I’ve created a 100 point review process that is straight forward and easy to use. It is an outline of the major elements of a business plan in a structured organized manner. This simple tool is what helps me to see if someones plan has what it takes to become a business.
What I’m now considering is do I keep this idea to myself so that I can continue to sell it or do I post it on my blog so everyone else can use? Secondly, if I post it on my blog – how should I do it?
- I could make the list a free PDF Download with subscription to the site. This is a great marketing tool that many people use to get more subscribers.
- I could post the list to my site directly. I like this idea because I would be able to better explain the list this way. I would also be able to create 100 pages of content off of this list if I was to link each line of the list to a page describing what I mean. The problem here is that the search term ‘business plan’ is a very competitive keyword.
- The other option is to keep the list private and continue to use it internally which means I can keep charging for it.
I’d like to ask my readers what they think? Leave me a comment below and the person that gives me the best idea will get a $25 iTunes Gift Card.
