Coming to the end of 2012, I reflect back on the end of 2011 and the year that was 2012, which is the year with probably the most dramatic changes that my life has ever seen. At the end of the year 2011 while having a very successful business and making more money than I ever thought possible, I learned that you have to choose your partners wisely. And that unfortunately was something that I had not done. I trusted the wrong people and found myself in a situation that I had no idea how to get out of. After creating a company that was my passion and my dream, I had surrounded myself with people whose greed and lack of morality superseded the good work that we were trying to do.

I created a job for myself and although I had built a very well-structured and well-running machine, I created jealousy with partners twice my age, who had to work 10 times harder because they didn’t understand basic principles of business. And in their jealousy, they decided instead of trying to learn and grow, that they would attack and destroy. I’m not a person to name names or pass blame, but I am one to self-reflect on the fact that picking the wrong partners can lead to a very miserable life.

Right around this time is when I had the luck, and yes at this point I will say luck, of meeting a couple influential people who would help me over the next few months transform my life and get away from the poisonous relationships that were holding me back and keeping me working in a world where I would put in 100% of the work, but only make a fraction of the money. These “coaches” are truly the people that helped me unlock my real potential and build true wealth through individual businesses.
